Hi.

Welcome to The Spark, where we find you the best shit on the globe.

How To Work With The Parts of You

How To Work With The Parts of You

Welcome to 2022. Where the COVID is hot off the press, Web3 is making our brains all question who we are and click-bait self development is the hot topic on your feed. To simplify, I’ve compiled a quick “how to” guide on how to work with the various competing thoughts that enter our brains on a daily basis. We all have multiple parts, and while I’m no therapist or licensed professional I have had my fair share of professional help. So from one non-professional to another, I impart on you: The Holy Grail On How To Work On The Parts of Yourself.

Step 1: What’s Going On?

So you are at war with yourself. Your thoughts are colliding. Hercules, Moses, Zeus and Chicken Little are all fighting an epic battle. You’re too fat. You’re too much of a loser. You’re broke. People hate you. You clearly are in the dumps. With every rock bottom comes a new hill to climb. If you’re burning in the fire, there’s a fire to put out.

Step 2: What Is It Saying To You

Ask the fire what it wants. Does it want a sandwich? Does it need to be told it’s enough? What does this fire filled with a thought, emotion or sensation need? Does it need to be seen? Does it need a glass of water? What is the fire trying to communciate? It’s saying something to you - all things that cry need something (even incommunicable newborns). Ask it what it needs — luckily thoughts, emotions and sensations can answer (unlike newborns).

Step 3: What It Wants It Can Have

Give it what it wants. Water the fire. Make the feeling a sandwich (but only have one). Give the thought something positive to oppose its negative charge. When we give ourself what we need, hear what needs to be heard, and do what needs to be done we are in a place to transform from stuck to moving.

Step 4: What Do You Need From Me In Order To Give Me My Power Back

Now ask this same thought that first brought you down: “What do you need from me in order to give me my power back”. Ask the fire: “give me the lighter fluid back”. Explain to the fire: “I don’t want you to light again, and I can now handle what was underlying the start of the fire”. In your own works, start a dialogue with the source of your unhappiness. Was a childhood trauma triggered? Are you hungry, angry, lonely or tired? Do you just need to go out with some girlfriends and get some perspective. Why did your energy get stuck in the first place? Take your power back.

Step 5: What Is The Truth

Once you’ve watered the fire, identified the cause and any underlying vulnerabilities — ask the fire: what is the truth? For example: Underneath the storm, you were whole all along. You never lost your enoughness, you simply became disidentified from it. What is the universal truth that exists with you at all times. Listen, not from your mind, but from your heart to what is true.

  • I am breathing and alive and whole

  • I am enough no matter what

  • I am no better or worse, I’m equal

  • I am whole

Once you’ve identified some universal truths for you, you’ve realigned. This is the antidote. I promise. When you connect to the root of the root of the root of the root — you enter a state of ease and loving awareness that will take over your life with miracles.

Connecting to these truths on a daily basis will pivot the course of your life. This isn’t magic, it’s scientific that when we connected to our positive truth our life will become more positively truthful, honest and full. So, say your affirmations 100 time a day. Pray to see the truth. The more you create a relationship with the bottom of this truth, the more you will be able to move from good to great. This is chiropractic for the soul — back on your path you go! We have more important things to do than sit in our own misery. Thank you, next!
